We have put together proposals that will transform this key gateway site on this magnificent street in Central York, that is used by royalty to access the city. Our proposals will redevelop buildings seen as detractors to the conservation area and be replaced by a high quality modern building that will accommodate a luxury boutique hotel.
What Has Been Achieved To Date
Following a successful planning application, permission was granted in 2020 to deliver a contemporary building that tastefully compliments the famed Georgian character of Micklegate. Designed by leading architects Vincent & Brown, the new build development will add to the already famous character of Yorks gateway street

Site Handed Over To SuperCity
North Star are pleased to have successfully completed the demolition stage of the Micklegate project and the site is now ready for a contractor to be appointed by Supercity for the construction work to commence. The new hotel will be a great addition to this magnificent street and we wish SuperCity all the best with their development moving forward.
